The annual technical event of SLIET – techFEST’23 is a platform for young minds to come and compete against each other and together to learn.  It is the most awaited technical event of SLIET. Students from colleges other than SLIET also participated in the events organized by techFEST’23. It was a 2 day event which took place from 24^th to 25^th March 2023 in SLIET’s campus. The theme for techFEST’23 was Innovation in Agriculture.

On 24^th March, inauguration ceremony  was done where Prof Sehijpal Singh was the chief guest. He is the principal of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana (GNDEC). He was presided by Dr Shailendra Jain, Director, SLIET. Prof Sehijpal Singh motivated students by his words. Our director, Dr Shailendra Jain also guided the students and filled them with energy.

The amazing team of techFEST’23 captured sponsors such as  Internwell, Beyond snack Kerala banana chips, Custmysr, Red FM 93.5, Infowiz, Robotics India, Viral Fission and even Coca Cola. The sponsors provided the event various things from kits and beverages to more.

With 40+ Events, prizes worth more than INR 50k and an aim to take up the Ultimate Leap in Technology for Agriculture, this year.TechFEST23 had 8 domains namely-

Plexus – This domain is about analyzing and putting your programming skills to test, with 4 competitions namely, Pixel wizard, Data Dynamic, Codesprint and TechnIQ.

Genesis – This domain was designed for you to witness young yet second to none entrepreneurs presenting extraordinary ideas. There were 3 competitions under this domain, Adhyayan, Shuruat and Udyam.

Karyarachna – Here you had to think of solution ideas for problems such as stubble burning, lack of proper access to technology to farmers and many more, instances of which you see observe quite often. This domain conducted 3 competitions, Hackathon, Kritrim and CODE2TECH.

Robozar – Here’s to the exciting opportunities for showcasing your skills, designing a robot, enhancing your skills and wining worth cash prizes with the 3 amazing competitions which were, Hovermania, Margdarshak and Jarvis Cup.

Kermis – Game is all fun and technology is all knowledge. This event was all about gaming and had COD for Call Of Duty and Checkmate for Chess.

Mechanica – This domain made you witness captivating  glimpses of mechanical engineering in battle. It had 4 stunning events which were, Hydraload, Trussload, Fabriquer and Designare.

Chemfor –  This domain contained thoughtful, analytical and amazing events related to Chemical engineering in day-to-day life. It captured 4 events namely, Chemfo-thon, Chemfo-Mystery, Chem-O-Rover, Techno-STORM.

Electrica – This domain contained events that demanded to work on electronic devices and circuits, with 4 events which were Navrithi, Arduino Imagino, Electromate and AGRO-Dhara.

A stunningly beautiful evening was arranged by techFEST’23 on both the days which was filled with colors, light and music. It was the Laser Show – spotlight event of techFEST’23. It surely became a memorable memory for every. With this grand event the techFEST’23 was completed in all its glory.
